2018 VMCC Founders Day Relay

Post by Giscard » Mon May 07, 2018 8:19 pm

Took part in the Vintage Motorcycle Club relay rally on Sunday. Basically it is a biannual event where there are checkpoints all over the UK. I was on my Velocette Venom and my brother was on his Ariel Square 4. We did 190 miles during the day starting from Cardiff and reached checkpoints at Swansea, Llandovery, Abergavenny and Tintern, before returning to Cardiff. The sun shone all day and apart from the first leg to Swansea via Port Talbot the scenery was stunning, particularly the stretch from Abergavenny to Tintern where we came down the Wye Valley.

The picture shows us parked up at the VMCC checkpoint at Llandovery.

Nice to see, I've always covered a four port Ariel.

Cheers Stef

His is a very nice bike which he has owned for about 50 years. You don't see that many about.
