American Fender Guitar for sale

Post by Varanoir » Mon Sep 11, 2017 7:30 am

I know there are a number of musically minded people here, who also play guitar. A friend of mine in the U.K. is selling one of his prized instruments.

It's an American Fender black fat strat, which he describes as a ''beautiful versatile guitar'' and he's letting it go at a very good price. It's £ 600. If anyone is interested send me a PM and i'll put you in touch. I did see it last year when I visited, and like all his other guitars it's immaculate.

Not for me; but I know someone who is looking; do you know if it's SSS or HSS pickups?
" American " Strat: is that a true American or a made in Mexico (MIM) one? I don't think he minds, which, but there is a difference in tone and price.

I'll find out. I would think it's the real thing, He only buys proper stuff. His accoustic guitars are made by Andy Manson! ( look him up).

Ah right; I know Andy Manson ( well not personally) presumably the Andy Manson who makes the accoustics and multinecks for John Paul Jones And Jimmy Page, amongst others.
Sounds pukka then; I'll have a word with my freind; he has his guitars lade by a luthier here, but I know he is looking for a "proper" strat; though he will probably do some customising.

It's a genuine US fender with HSS pickups. It's currently advertised on Gumtree where you will find more details.

Thanks! I'll let him know. When I saw him a week or so ago; he was in 2 minds; whether to buy a good one or build a custom one. He gets his current guitars made by a luthier here, who has also pepped up his Les Paul and SG. He has always had a preference for "Gibson style" guitars, but fancies trying out how a Fender style would work for him.

Hi John, a good price for that Strat, why not start playing yourself, or perhaps taxidermy ?
