Project for sale

Post by wizzard » Sun Aug 06, 2017 6:06 pm

Anyone brave here enough to take on this project before I stik it on Leboncoin? Its nearly all there, but some bits missing like the exhaust and one shocker, and quite a few mounting bolts. Its not seized, it turns overfreely especially since I removed the piston, which is slightly damaged and will need replaced. Has alloy mudguards in good condition and the brakes work.
Details are as follows - 1975 CZ 125 - may have been the trail model as its got a nice alloy rear rim and off road tyre. Paperwork doesnt exist, but I do know the original french reg number and have an attestation from the seller.

150 euros

Project for sale

I gave up trying to sell my poor old CZ, so broke it for spares. The parts sold for lots more than I wanted for the whole bike - the bizarre thing was one guy bought quite a lot of bits, and paid 50% more than the price of the whole bike! icon_dance icon_dance

So Aristotle got it wrong then, the Whole was not greater than the sum of it's parts.

The story of the sale of my CZ has got even more bizarre. As mentioned before, someone bought the majority of the parts, paying 50% more than the price of the whole bike. The cheque was cashed a long time ago, but I havent heard a word from the buyer who was coming to collect it, despite reminder emails. I told this tale to a mate yesterday, who told me he sold the same race bike frame 3 times due to people paying and not turning up. And, he didnt rush things - there were 7 years between the first and last sales!
