Finisterre or bust!

Post by divimike » Sun Aug 13, 2017 9:14 pm

Planning a trip across northern Spain, crossing from France on the N116 through Bourge Madame and using the N260, with the destination/ambition to reach Finisterre(Fisterra). Depart 30th August and intend to be back by 10th September. Route planned and stops/hotels identified, (no camping for these oldies) and reckon on about a 3000 kms round trip. Hope the weather holds as last time we tried this it was "stormed" off.

Sounds a great trip, hope the weather holds and have fun !

Galicia is beautiful, wonderful coastline , Rias and beaches, the Galicians are very friendly people too. Santiago de Compostcorner is well worth visiting , impressive even to a devout atheist like me !

Go for it Mike. If you pass anywhere near Limoges there are a lot of members who could perhaps meet for a coffee en route.

Great area, did part of it last year and Andorra too. Los Picos is worth a visit as you will be passing.

Thanks Dave, we like the idea, but we are starting near Beziérs so Limoges is not on Our Route!

Looks like a great trip. I'd be tempted to carry on south down the ria coast past Vigo to Viano do Castilo before heading home but I suppose there's only so much that you can fit in. Enjoy.

ah! , Bezier, arguably the best kebabs in France!!
I would like to retire around there, but not sure if I can afford it
