Football Whoohoo!

Second away point of the season will do me. A draw for Newcastle too but that should have been a home banker, bit of a shock start. Gwyn will be happy with the footie if not the rugby, 2 away wins for his sides and ditto for dwl with a much needed 2-0 at Margate which takes them out the drop zone.

Our next 3 games are all away at Brighton (1st), Huddersfield (3rd) and Reading (5th). Without Dwight Gayle we will have to play really well. Haway the lads.

I'd settle for a win and 2 draws there, anything else would be a bonus. We have 4 away games on the bounce too because we switched fixtures with Liverpool at the start of the season when their ground wasn't ready. We need more away points but draws will do.

Me, me, me. My son said our first goal was a comedy of errors, but they all count. That's one down, two to go. Great result :D

Even though we didn't play brilliantly that's another 3 points from the second of our three difficult away games in a row :D

And Brighton getting beat. They did this last season, faded in the home run. Although we once again conceded an extra time winner to an opponent we were by all accounts well beaten and lucky the score was only 3-2. Our away form is abysmal.

Three away games against teams in the top 4 and we end up with 7 points. Happy with that. :)

Reading was a good away point, they have an excellent home record. Wish we could get 7 points from 3 away matches.

Looks like Arsenal's 10-2 aggregate defeat could be the final nail in Wenger's coffin.

It's all very well him blaming the players but he signed them all in his time there. I don't think saying he was revolted by the referee will endear him to UEFA either.
