One of mine, was coming down an Italian pass around seven thirty pm. Absolutely no traffic, but getting low on fuel, nowhere booked, She who must be obeyed, grumbling away, never going to find anywhere at this time of night, we are going to run out of fuel, etc etc. Great ride down hill lots of bends rounded a bend, low and behold a petrol station, across the road a great hotel, room to spare, a nice place good food. I still rub her nose in it, thirty plus years later.

Mine was riding from the UK to Crete and on the way I met a young Swiss guy on a Suzuki 650, I was on my Africa Twin, but we rode together through most of Italy before we went our separate ways, never even got his name, it was just biker camaraderie.
