It sure is Papa. How’s Cornwall? It was so quiet here today I actually washed my bike. Once I’ve got a new tyre fitted on Friday I might actually get out on it a bit. kneedown

Cornwall at the moment is far too dangerous for motorcyclists to venture out. I have lost count of the number of accidents involving motorcyclists over the last few weeks, I blame the tourist car drivers and am thinking of getting my Royal Oilfield modified:-

I've not been on the bike since the weekend before last and with temps of 37 forecast for this weekend the pool is the preferred option.

I was planning to head over to the Cantal for a couple of nights camping at the weekend but with temperatures in the high 30s forecast I might have to postpone the trip.

Quiet in here

Coming back from a visit to Varanoir yesterday, on a tiny twisty country road, I got forced off the road by a large silver 4x4. It had gone wide on the corner, or possibly was totally on the wrong side of the road - it happened all too quick to see plates or if RHD. I was on the Honda cafe racer, and to its credit it managed (only just) to stay upright as I wobbled along the grass verge for 20m or so. They didnt stop! A few km later another car pulled right across my bows at a crossroads.

Same thing happened to my wife in her car, clipped her and ran her off the road. It was a RHD merc van that didn't stop too. We need to ride like everyone is out to kill us sadly.
