Rain problems

Post by FrancisBarnett » Wed Jan 24, 2018 11:35 pm

I am reading a book about the French army in the first world war, it mentions that the Breton poilu was highly esteemed in the trenches because they were used to living in the mud, fog and rain - and thought it was just normal!
I know why this winter.

Brexit is like watching your library being burnt down by people who never learned to read.

I went for a walk on a local ramblers trail this aft. Good to be out in the sun but the paths were mainly streams. Still enjoyed it though.

I’m heading north today for a couple of days. I going by train. I just couldn’t face a 1000km round trip driving in the rain.

Rain problems

Went out to French lesson this morning - warmish and dry, so I thought I would get a bike out this afternoon. No luck, started pissing down after lunch, by the time I had to nip out to the post office the roads were flooded again. Grrrrrr.
