Asymmetric tyre wear....

Post by Hal » Mon Sep 18, 2017 12:06 pm

I have posted this before, probably on the old site, but it bears repeating, as so many people seem to be ignorant of the reality....and I include one well known race chassis designer who lectures to Michelin engineers!

He thought it was all to do with camber....which can't possibly be the case, as reading this article makes very clear.

Asymmetric tyre wear....

When I owned a Yamaha Hooligan, sorry Radian, I used to wear the front tyre out before the rear tyre. (It always used to feel when going around corners as if the front wheel was digging up the road.)
