That was what I did today - a run on the Harley to blow away all the cobwebs - until I got to Chalus and encountered about a dozen gendarmes, stopping most of the traffic. They stopped the Portugese guy in his old Renault 4, just in front me, but ignored the noisy Harley behind - phew, could have been more adult problems!
Any bike with three cylinders has one too many.....................

that's unusual, they tend to completely ignore my (purposefully) very rusty looking 2cv
they don't bat an eye at the Hardly either, and I'm running shotgun drag pipes, it pops and bangs like a firework display :lol:

My Harley sounds a bit like that, on S & S pipes. I can reduce it slightly at the flick of a microswitch, not that I ever remember to do it when I'm stopped for any document/booze checks. :roll:
