For your info. I was born in Paddington. The area around there was my playground, It is not difficult to imagine the start and finish of the show, if you know the area as I do. Portobello market was where I did the weekend shop for my mum and family. icon_Hi ya! icon_thanks

Used to go every year when I lived in London, absolutely loved it icon_Fete2
Strangely I'm also Irish, and I loved it too!

I have friends who own a house in Notting Hill, just near the Mountain Grill of Hawkwind fame, so we had a great base.

Notting-Hill Carnival? Best goat curry ever, mon....

Dear God, it seems we are of like mind again! Is this some strange alternate reality we've somehow edged into?

At least we are agreed that 'goat curry' is to die for...(especially if you are the goat)

Let's arrange a back-to back-test on this!

I've never had a Ghurka goat curry but hey, the night is young!

You have to kill the goat with one blow of a kukri or it's bad luck apparently. ( for the goat, too I guess. )
