Gutted, RIP Nicky, ..............but we must remember that just because he was a motorcyclist does not mean he was not at fault, .......methinks you have tried......convicted ......and hung the driver already, ......we need more info......it might of just been a freak accident,........he will be sorely missed though.
We the willing, led by the unknown, are doing the impossible, for the ungrateful. we have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything ....................with nothing,

Sad news, a popular rider. None of the news items I read mentioned a mobile phone.

Ah, you read what I wrote Jammy... correctly!
I disagree that hitting a cyclist is often a coincidence of events, in a very high percentage of collisions an 'at fault' car driver will be driving below an acceptable level of safety. HGV's and buses in towns where the cyclist in question is inexperienced are another matter but, I'd be surprised if the car driver couldn't have avoided Nicky if he was driving carefully and considerately.

No matter how it happened, which will hopefully come out i time, its sad that someone who risked their life for a living , at high speed, should lose their life in a cycle accident. Sad though it is that he has died, it could have been worse - he could have survived as a brain damaged vegetable.
