Have you looked at the prices of cars with similar performance?

The average waiting time after order for a new Morgan used to be up to 7 years , although I believe its a bit less now. My mate had his order certificate framed on his study wall for years, just waiting for his car to be built. That pushes up 2nd hand prices, for people who want one NOW, and are willing to pay what it takes to get one.
Caterham Sevens are rapidly increasing in value 2nd hand too, although the waiting list for new ones is nothing like Morgan.

Morgan and performance in the same sentence. A first?

It is obvious you have not looked at the performance figures for Morgans. They may look old fashioned but slow they are not. Even a tweaked prewar J.A.P engine Morgan three wheeler can touch 130mph. (Not with me sat in one though.)

Have you looked at the build quality of cars with a similar price? I was staggered at the poor integrity of a 4 year old Aero 8 that a mate let me drive. Scuttle shake didn't come into it, the whole car shook!

Morgan's are hand built. It is the nature of the beast.

My Cat 7 was hand built 33 years ago and it doesnt have any scuttle shake. If I paid silly money for a new Aero 8 and it had scuttle shake I'd take it back and demand a refund - a pain in the butt if I'd waited years on it being built. Hand built cars (built in a factory , not a shed) shouldnt have such serious problems.

Morgan's are built in a shed. (Well several sheds.)
