The fabulous new 'Linky' electricity meters .....

Post by Hal » Fri Apr 07, 2017 8:25 am

Hi Nick D, Very good idea.

I think the problem for Mairies is that they can't be sufficiently pro-active in terms of knocking on doors to inform people, but all citizens of the communes are free and welcome to attend many of the council meetings.

I agree that if they have not mentioned this affair in the communal magazine (once yearly?) it was a bad oversight on their part.

I would also say the press has been less than extravangant in their coverage of this threat.

Do get your letter off, copy to the Mairie attn Georges Tixeuil, Maire Adjoint, and one to Enedis Tower, in Paris. Non response signifies consent...
Do you have the download link? If not, mail me direct on through this site and leave your email, I'll send you it direct.

Or go to the site of Artemisia and download their Linky refusal kit, it's annex #1 in that pdf.

If your meter is outside, you need to do something robust to secure it.

Just got this through on the Brive 'incident'. It was last October so not exactly hot news, but it's a historic nail in the coffin of what we thought was still a living Democratic state.....

A MEDITER ….
NE PAS OUBLIER : C’EST NOUS TOUS USAGERS QUI AVONS FINANCE TOUTES LES INSTALLATIONS ET QUE C’EST ENCORE NOUS QUI PAIERONS QUOI QU’IL ARRIVE

As someone who has worked in journalism I try to verify information as best as I can, using original sources, and it seems from this text that my informant has managed to conflate several different incidents.

The text above doesn't match what I was told, and what I was told also adds an element to the case I think he's conflated this one with.

I think I have already cited the other case, an apartment block, where the occupants had been tipped off that Enedis was arriving, and a crowd blocked their entry to the communal area where the meters were.

Police arrive, having been told the Enedis lackeys were 'being menaced by someone with a rifle' and arrested everyone, allowing the lackeys to install the meters while the crowd were in the lockup.

No 'elu' were involved, to my knowledge, and I saw the original reports.

A petition to sign....before someone is killed! bThe govenment is apparently blind and deaf, maybe a few deaths will wake them up to the realisation that this is one step too far. I'm hearing people talking about 'collabos' and in some (many?) cases, the Maires are the worst.

The fabulous new 'Linky' electricity meters .....

Post by NickD » Sat Apr 15, 2017 12:43 pm

Well I posted my lettre de refus Monday and got the avis reception. Got missed phonecall on tuesday from them trying to make a rdv for fitting of the linky, i ignored it, fortunately my meter is inside the house so they won't be able to do a sneaky one .

Interestingly today around lunchtime ( easter w/end too ! ) spotted a enedis marked van lurking alongside my house then looking at the (outside ) meter on the house over the road, the owners weren't in. Eventually he knocks on my door asking for a M. somebody. 'Quellle adresse '?' I ask but all he has is 'La Forge' which is a bit daft as we have had road names and numbers here for the last 3 years at least so they don't seem too well briefed and surely the pdl number should pinpoint these things.
Anyway I didn't know the M. somebody so he then asks me about my meter, I told him I had refused one and had my avis de reception from my letter to enedis. He seemed perfectly ok with that. The guy was polite and made no attempt to say that i must have a linky meter or any other sort of bs.
I wonder if that's the last I shall hear about it ?

John,

Try here. http://refus.linky.gazpar.free.fr/Note- ... ULIERS.pdf

This is the refusal kit notes from Artemisia, scroll down to Annex 1, and print that off. Make three copies, one to keep, one to Enedis Tower (address at top of page,) and one for your Mairie.

Send by lettre recommandé Avis de Reception..

Nick D...a friend in the village, who is one of our conseilleurs municipales, had a knock on the door about midday yesterday.

Her husband opened the door, she was in the garden and knew nothing about the visit.

Guy introduced himself as a representative of EDF (not Enedis, note) and said he was there to try and persuade them to 'stay with EDF instead of going with another poser supplier' such as Engie....

As Mme was supposed to be voting on this last night, M. asked the guy if it was possible for a commune to refuse.

" Certainly....but if the 'Head Commune' in the Community des Communes' has voted for, there's no point, as it's the head commune's vote that is taken into consideration. In your case, this would be Oradour sur Vayres, and they voted for."

My buddy, who I'd thoroughly primed, then asked about personal refusals. "If you continue to refuse, they (note not 'we') will come anyway, and each time they come out, you will be billed for the displacement!"

I rang Georges, our member who is deputy Maire of Saint-Mathieu, and he said "Totally untrue. There IS no 'principal commune who's Maire can decide policy for all 16 communes in the Community of communes, and as for billing people for pointless visits, under what contract? Total lies."

So this is the latest pack of lies, and doubtless the guy has Enedis written inside like 'Brighton' in a stick of rock.

It's now becoming widely known that nothing these fascist bully-boys say is likely to be true, best assume they simply aren't programmed to tell the truth.

Another, from last night while the conseille were discussing the budget.... A woman in the commune, not having given a date for fitting the unwanted meter, had it fitted while she was out. It was exposed outside.

Another, the 90 year old mother of one of our group had to deal with several Enedis Milice who pushed past her and into the internal courtyard, where they ripped out her old meter and installed their absurd EMF emitter. She had sent the proper formal refusal.

Her son went to the Gendarmes three times, they refused to take a complaint, so he told them he'd take it to the Procureur.

Their response, "Do what you like, we couldn't care less!" He then made the complaint direct to the Procureur...so "it will have to be investigated" Ho ho....under pre-Enedis circumstances, true enough....but we are now through the Looking-glass with the delightfully nubile Alice.

"I don't think we're in Kansas anymore, Toto!"

"Bloody right, Doro, old stick....even I can see that!"

Another, also from last night. Local woman who has sent the letter was told "We are fining you 1500 euros"...

and one more also from last night.

Guy turned up while we were outside (I forgot to mention, the male/female standup comedy duo from Ennemis failed to show. Rang at the last minute, Mme was 'ill'. They have a rep for pulling out at the last minute if they are tipped off there will be militants present...

So, while initially we were to be allowed in to listen attentively to Dr Goebbels and his squeeze practicing for the mendacity Olympics, the Maire, in all his wisdom, ruled that in fact they would switch and discuss the budget first, and then the Linky shtick, delivered by his Lordship himself, later.

We left at this point. In fact the vote was postponed till the lovely Enedis propagandists are physically and psychologically recharged; great news as it gives us time to organise an ass-kicking public meeting.

Anyway, this guy, a farmer, had refused officially.

Away for 2 days he returns to find no power and his freezers awash.

External meter, opened box, showed a Super New Linky!!! And a letter from Enedis "We passed on so and so date...."

Reported to Gendarmes who refused to accept a complaint. Easy job, being an Enedis secret policeman.....

His house meter is in another location and wasn't found.

And you thought France was a 'democracy'? Think again.

Here's a nice incriminating internal doc from Enedis, instructing the plausible deniability front line Milice how to do their noble job....

Wow! Reading that Enedis doc it looks like ones only hope is to keep all gates locked and put up a private property notice. Obviously that works if your meter is behind your gate but not if its roadside. We have both, thankfully the main house one is behind our gate 50 meters back from the road.

Problem is many of these people will be employed specifically on their ability to intimidate, similar to the debt collector types. Failing that they will employ a roving 'team thug' dispatched as 'minder' to the installers...
