Rugby Whoohoo

The try which was disallowed. I've watched it a few times and it looked like a fair grounding and most pundits seem to agree.

though the vid won't play unless you have a proxy.

Agree Chris, even the English pundits agree it was a try, the TMO only took a few seconds to make his decision, he should of played it a few more times, well pissed off, icon_wall

Do you not have to be in control of the ball? Does a fingertip touch count.

Either way, England did not play very well in the second half and still won.
Wales had a lot of possession, but still manage to gain little or no ground.
England seemed content with preventing Wales scoring, rather than adding to the tally.

Any way you look at it, that win, the ladies 52-0 and the U-20's 37-12 meant it was ROASTED lamb for Sunday lunch

I can’t remember the actual wording of the law but it’s significant downward pressure and the onus is on the referee to decide if enough pressure was applied. From the replays that could not be determined. It’s irrelevant anyway a score at that time in the game would have altered what happened later.

And now its proven it was no try. Most have now accepted that but the WRU keep bleating on about it.

I played a lot of rugby a long time ago. In those days the referee’s word was the end of the story. No dissent, no questions, just get on with it. I got caught out by the insufficient downward pressure thing more than a few times. Your team mates are less than happy after you’ve crossed the line with the ball in your hands and no opposition players within sight and the try is not given.

Yes, Scotland played really well and deserved their win.
